Tin Win

Painter — Founder, Beikthano Gallery (1952–2025)

Tin Win (1952–2025) was a Myanmar artist and the founder of Beikthano Gallery. Born in Minbu, central Myanmar, he graduated from the State School of Fine Arts in Mandalay in 1970.

Throughout his career, he explored a variety of subjects and styles, bringing together realistic and abstract elements. His later works were particularly known for portraits and figurative paintings depicting people from Myanmar's diverse communities. His paintings are recognized for their rich colors, fine details, and strong sense of character.

Tin Win exhibited his work in Myanmar and internationally throughout his career. As the founder of Beikthano Gallery, he also created a space to support and showcase Myanmar artists, leaving a lasting contribution to the country's art community.
