
Aye Ko (b. 1963, Pathein, Myanmar) is a leading contemporary artist known for his work in painting, performance, and multimedia art. He began his artistic journey studying traditional painting before exploring more experimental forms of art in the 1990s.
Over the years, Aye Ko has exhibited and performed internationally across Asia, Europe, and the United States. His work often draws from his personal experiences and observations of life in Myanmar.
Beyond his own practice, Aye Ko has played an important role in supporting Myanmar's contemporary art community. He founded New Zero Art Space in Yangon, creating opportunities for young artists through exhibitions, workshops, and art education.
